Quarterly Report.....

So here it is early Sunday morning...the puppy is still asleep (the puppy, as blogged about by digibob and 50poundnote - yes, i'm a bad mother, others have blogged about my puppy- with pics- and i haven't</span> ) Gizmo (the puppy) has two modes - sleeping and holy terror...please be a puppy phase, please be a puppy phase, please be a puppy phase....

Things on the health front are about the same....Dialysis..WhooHoo! I had a cold when last I blogged and I have one now...every four months - that's not so bad. My legs are getting worse...taking mucho Motrin....getting bloodwork done (hopefully) next week to determine if PTH (para-thyroid hormone) level is still a factor...if not, then God knows what's causing it. But I can still walk...it's a blessing.

On the theatre front...been busy. Completed THE NERD in the fall with the Kandel Theatre. Then they hired (paid-YAY!) me to direct a Christmas Review for them. It was chaotic, but turned out fairly well. And now I'm in the middle of directing THE FOREIGNER for Clarksville Little Theatre. I'm excited, I have a really good cast. It opens the beginning of March, and then the week after it closes the theatre has decided to send the production to the Indiana Community Theatre Festival. All very exciting, except now I have to figure out a way to cut an over two hour show to 55 minutes( for the festival). Eeek. But, it's exciting.

And last, but not least....I've actually been dating someone. Still nice and casual, but it's good. We met in the Euchre club I joined a couple of months back. He's funny, sarcastic and cute...and a helluva Euchre player!

Let's see...puppy,pain,directing, man....yup that's about it for now. I still vow to get better about keeping this thing up-to-date, but all I can promise is quarterly doses.

digibob has told me that i need to keep people up to date on my events.....so here we go...

i will be performing my second weekend as Daddy Warbucks in ANNIE, starting tomorrow night at Clarksville Little Theatre...sadly i have received Miss Hannigan's cold....cross your fingers my voice holds out....on top of this i have started my rehearsals with Kandel Theatre Company for a production of THE NERD ....so far, so good.....sitting here scarfing plain cake donuts getting ready to head to dialysis...that's going about the same..(including i still drink too much)(water that is)....but my legs are getting worse...pretty much constant pain now...can't take usual dose of tylenol because of cold meds....but hopefully new prescription will help with legs....

Yes, it's true. I a healthy (one hopes) bouncing baby Honda Accord. Since death was stalking my old car, it was imperative to find something that wouldn't scare the be-jesus out of me to drive on the highway. So, this weekend digibob and I headed out to ye olde car auction,the last bastion of the big spenders, and I purchased my new black market baby. She has the illusion of a decent car...so, i'll hold on to that. She is still searching for a name (Bob suggested it be something Japanese). All suggestions are welcome. Will post baby pictures later.

Chicken or Fish?

I sit enjoying my hot tea and Chicken of the Sea. I started the Atkins diet last Saturday and so far i'm steaming along smoothly. Tuna has become my new low carb best friend. No cooking - no carbs....what's not to love? The little bars and shakes are ok, but soooo expensive. Ah well, thin ain't cheap! In a week and a half I get to add more choices...til then I'm a slave to Daddy Atkins....get the whip.Mmmmmm...Cool Whip.....alallal(drool)

Got up not too long ago....had my Christmas morning Yoo-Hoo. Everything is nice and quiet. All the presents have long been opened(Holding out until yesterday for the last one).I have always had the strong belief that you shouldn't blow all your presents in one day-spread it out(Must be the Jew in me(although raised Baptist-that's another story)).Or it could be the fact that inside i'm still about twelve.

Regardless, it's been a good Holiday. I got good presents,I gave good presents and there hasn't been too much trauma lately. Can't ask for much more than that.

So, I want to wish everyone a Happy whatever-holiday they choose. May all your wishes and dreams come true for the New Year!

Went to the mail and was surprised to find that my ex-mother-in-law had sent us separate Christmas cards. I guessed that I had been disowned. I thought maybe it would say,"To whom it may concern - Happy Holidays." But to my surprise - it had money! Merry Christmas! Wow. I never got anything from her when she was my Mom-in-law. What a sweet gesture. Now filled with the holiday spirit.

Woke this morning to the crisp white winter wonderland. It was amazingly beautiful to watch as it fell last night and we began to decorate the tree. Now this morning it is still beautiful....for some reason the brats in the neighbor hood have not yet eaten the snow off the hoods of the cars or felt the need to grab a slab of cardboard and slide down the front hill of our yard, squealing at the top of their lungs until their mother finishes her last Virginia Slim and screams for them to run to the convenience store to get her some more smokes.

digibob (my house mate) and irishbeard (his amour) went out to clean the walk as I awoke from my slumber. Of course waiting on the porch was Tiger the wonder cat, a cat i adopted when the neighbor moved. ( For a picture, look among irishbeard's icons....the orange cat is tiger....yes, the one that ed now claims as his....ed will be hereto be referred to as "cat thief")Anyway, Tiger of course took this opportunity to look cute and adorable and wormed his way inside to eat. I believe he has decided to spend the winter indoors...he'll have to discuss this with Bob....good luck, I'm lucky I get to spend the winter indoors. Bob grumbled something about one messy roommate being enough. Whatever.

Haven't ventured outside yet....will have to decide if I'm going to before the finale of Survivor comes on.Might be a nice day to just hibernate.

Got back from the hospital last night.(Trapped since friday) All well! (Not)
Thought i was better but had another 102 temp last night.(With fun, frolic-ky, shakes as well.) Thankfully I got better by bed time and got some decent sleep.Unlike in the hospital.

Still a little queasy this morning, but a bit of triumph by eating( and keeping down) a whole package of fruit and oatmeal toastables! I can feel the tide turning.

I wish i could say that the doctors had some idea why this seemed to be happening....but no.

And, I have to ask- why is it you go into the hospital with one doctor and suddenly you have ten? And- none of them know anything?
And just because you want to use one doctor....why all of a sudden are his partners interchangeable? Just because my doctor likes them does'nt mean I want them.

End of doctor rant....i truly could go on forever about them.(Yawn)

Anyway...will aim for a whole meal at lunch.

Onward and upward.

Well, after putting it off as long as possible, it's time to break down and get the new plates for the car. I am truely disgusted by the new design. It has the sun rising....and the sun is a...SMILEY FACE!!! It's like a damn Raisin Bran commercial. They think this makes us seem more friendly in Kentucky? Friendly to who? Drooling three year olds who miss their tele-tubbies? Ah, well , what to do?

To blog or not to blog...that is the question.....everyone's doing it.....it's a rush.....
if your neighbor jumped off a blog...would you?....
i guess i would...i guess i have...what this will be i don't know...hopefully light,sending a chuckle out now and then(as do most of the journals i peer into on a daily basis)...hopefully a little therapeutic (without hysterical drama!)...
but we'll see....what we will be.....
